“A Last Look at Missouri’s Critical Time: The 1950’s to 1970’s” is the theme of the 32nd
Annual Symposium on The Lutheran Confessions to be held January 21 to 23 at Concordia
Theological Seminary, Ft. Wayne, Indiana. The January 5 CN included the schedule of the
symposium together with an editorial titled “A True Look at Missouri’s Critical Time.”
Christian News published information on some of the speakers and subjects to be
discussed at the conference. They included Jaroslav Pelikan, Robert Wilken, Arthur Carl
Piepkorn, J.A.O. Preus, Berthold von Schenk and Lutheran Forum......................

Crosspointe Community  Running out of Time, Options

HAMILTON TWP. - There appears
to be no salvation for Crosspointe
Community Church, scheduled to
be sold at auction Monday. Pastor
Tim Patten has searched religiously
for a rescue plan to save the church
building and 26 acres from going to the highest bidder at the county
sheriff's sale. But he concedes the inevitable is about to happen.............
